Candy Favorites??

On this beautiful end of Summer Sunday as the kids enjoy themselves outside, I'm enjoying my quite time inside! Flipping through the channels I come across one of my favorites shows on the Food Network, "Diner, Drive-ins, and Dives". I love a good Diner and I also love some good Candy. You know the fun candy you ate as a kid. My mom and I used to always sneak our favorite in the house 1 for her and 1 for me; A Nestle Chunky Bar...ooo I love them nuts, raisins and thick chocolate. Now they make jumbo ones, simply heaven.
Then you have your real retro fun candies. Razzles, Pixi Sticks,Candy buttons, Wax lips, Nik-L-Nip Wax Bottles (you remember these filled with juice) Bubble Gum Cigars, Candy Cigarettes, Sugar Babies, Sugar Daddy, Chuckles Jelly Candy, Zagnut Bar, C. Howard Scented Gum, Chick lits, Bit O Honey, Mary Janes, Sky Bar, Rock Pops, Charleston Chews, Good and Plenty (choo choo Charlie was an engineer) and the list continues. I'm not too thrilled with some of the new candies on the market, Lollipops with real insects inside and all the assorted Gummies.We started with simple gummi bears now there is chocolate covered gummies...not working for me. Gummi insects, worms, brains and other parts of the anatomy. Hello gummi chicken legs??? So what is the new trend? Gummi Sours, why not! I do have to admit I do like some of the sours out there especially Sour Patch Candy. My son and I love going to the movies, let’s face it we need a 12 step program a true addiction. But, when we go we get our large popcorn with extra butter and yep we pour our candy over the popcorn shake it up and yummy.
Weird but hey...Gummi Chicken legs!!!
